Hopewell is a city with many needs. Our poverty level is significantly above the Virginia average and single-parent homes make up more than half of all family households. 

 

We want this to change and we want to be a part of that change. Within the church, God calls deacons to help meet the physical needs of church members and those of our local community. Also, they are called to seek justice for those who are discriminated against. This is the work of the church and we are committed seeking to be faithful in this area of ministry.
